Insight Vacations Features Small-Group Sprinter Van Tours : Travel Weekly

Insight Vacations has introduced small group US tours where guests travel in Mercedes Benz Sprinter vans.

Insight Vacations president Guy Young noted a trend toward smaller groups and intimate experiences, and said van tours are “perfectly suited to meet these growing trends.”

Seven-day tours accommodate up to 17 guests with a professional trip director and driver. Tours can be booked for private groups or guests can join scheduled departures.

Two itineraries focus on outdoor experiences in the western United States. The Yellowstone Discovery tour kicks off in Bozeman, Montana, with hiking and archery opportunities before heading out on a four-day trip to Yellowstone National Park. The trip ends in Jackson Hole, Wyo.

the Best of Northern California Tour will begin and end in San Francisco and begin with a panoramic view of the Golden Gate Bridge. Guests visit Muir Woods National Monument, where they can see thousand-year-old redwoods before a road trip along the Mendocino Coast and into Sonoma and Napa Valley.

Also on the program: wine tours and visits to Pennyroyal Farm to sample artisanal cheese and Anderson Valley Brewing Company for craft beer.

Tours incorporate Insight’s Make Travel Matter program, which focuses on sustainable experiences and positive social and environmental impacts.

Sprinter vans offer spacious seats, luggage compartments, electrical outlets and USB ports, television screens and filtered water dispensers.

Insight has scheduled three departures for the Yellowstone tour (starting at $4,279 per person) and four for Northern California ($4,125 per person), all departing in August and September 2022.
